Privacy policy
Who we are
Hire a Web Designer is a website planning and enquiry service from Nexar Web Services. Nexar Web Services is responsible for the personal information collected through this website at hireawebdesigner.co.uk.
For privacy questions or requests, use our enquiry form or call 07872326085.
Using the website planner
The planner lets you organise your requirements into a website brief. Answers are held in the current page while you work. The planner does not save draft answers to browser local storage, a server account or an automatic background submission.
You can download or copy your brief without providing contact details. A downloaded file is saved through your browser to your device; copying uses your browser’s clipboard permission. You control what you do with that copy. Leaving or reloading the page may lose answers that you have not downloaded.
When you choose to send the brief, your answers and contact details are submitted to Nexar Web Services. Sending is a separate action from reviewing, copying or downloading. A prepared brief is not a quotation or an order.
Information we collect
When you send a brief, we collect your name, email address, optional telephone number and town or area, business or project name, description of your audience, any existing website address, selected goals, pages and features, content readiness, support preference, working budget, timing and any additional notes.
Please include only relevant project information. Do not send passwords, payment-card details, sensitive personal information or information about someone else unless it is needed and you are entitled to share it.
The website also processes technical information needed to operate and protect the service, including IP addresses, browser and request information. The form uses a security session, submission tickets and rate-limit records. Rate-limit identifiers are derived from an IP address using a server secret rather than storing the raw address in those records.
If you contact us by email, telephone or WhatsApp, we receive the information supplied through that channel. Your communications providers and WhatsApp also process information under their own terms and privacy policies.
How and why information is used
We use the brief and your contact details to understand what you need, respond to your enquiry, ask relevant questions, prepare a quotation and take steps towards providing services you request. Where applicable, this is necessary to take steps at your request before a contract or to perform an agreed contract.
We also have a legitimate interest in protecting the website, preventing spam and abuse, managing correspondence and maintaining appropriate business records. Where processing is required by a legal obligation, we rely on that obligation.
Sending a brief does not subscribe you to a marketing mailing list. This website does not include Google Analytics, Google Ads tracking, online payments or customer registration.
Services and sharing
Hosting, storage and email
The website is hosted by Nexar Web Services. Accepted briefs are saved in a private WordPress enquiry inbox restricted to authorised administrators. A notification is sent to the Nexar Web Services enquiry inbox through Nexar Web Services email services, using your validated email address as the reply address.
We use access controls and form verification to protect information. No website or email system can promise absolute security. We do not sell personal information. Information may be shared where necessary to provide a service you request or where disclosure is required by law.
Google form protection
The send action uses Google reCAPTCHA v3 to assess automated or abusive requests. Google receives technical and interaction information for that purpose. Verification is required before a brief can be saved and notified. Reviewing or downloading a brief does not require the Google script to load.
The form loads reCAPTCHA through recaptcha.net. See Google’s Privacy Policy and Terms of Service. Google may process information outside the United Kingdom under its applicable data-protection terms and transfer arrangements.
Portfolio and external links
Website examples use locally hosted screenshots. Displaying those screenshots does not embed the client websites or load their tracking. If you follow an external link, that website has its own privacy and cookie arrangements.
Your information rights
Depending on the circumstances, UK data-protection law gives you rights to access your personal information, correct inaccurate information, request deletion, restrict processing, object to processing based on legitimate interests and receive certain information in a portable format. These rights are subject to the conditions and exceptions in law.
Use our enquiry form to make a request. We may need to verify your identity before acting. You can also raise a concern with the Information Commissioner’s Office, the UK data-protection regulator.
Updates to this policy
We may update this page when the website’s features or handling of information changes. The date above identifies this version.
